Zenkai Online is an avatar-powered social platform where members can build layered avatars, create highly customizable profiles, post and connect, join groups and forums, explore Zenkai World, collect items, and watch or stream through ZTV.
The platform
Zenkai Online traces its roots to 2012 and is now operated as part of Zenkai Interactive Studios. The product has evolved from a community hangout into a broader social universe that brings together identity, content, community, virtual spaces, collectibles, and creator tools.
For the studio, operating Zenkai Online means working on the kinds of problems that only become visible once a product has real people using it: onboarding, moderation, permissions, performance, account flows, community safety, feature discoverability, live events, maintenance, and continual iteration.
