We created Zenkai Online
Zenkai Online was founded on August 12, 2012, by a group of anime, gaming, and hobby enthusiasts: Kokiri, lillybug, and zombieNAMI. Long before Zenkai, our founders and many of their friends connected through popular platforms like TinyChat, Meebo, Skype, Gaia Online, Neopets, and IMVU. The vision was simple: create a space where they, along with like-minded people, could be themselves, bond over shared interests, and build lasting friendships.
Inspired by other avatar-based communities, social networks, and virtual worlds, Zenkai Online has always been about more than just a website—it’s a community built for and by its members. Though we faced challenges, including losing half of our stats during a host migration, we’ve continued to grow and adapt.
The Launch
We launched Zenkai Online, and it’s been evolving ever since. 
What started as a space for us to be ourselves has grown into something much bigger—an Avatar Community, Social Network, and even Virtual World inspired by similar platforms we loved.

At Zenkai Interactive Studios, we are incredibly proud of the journey we’ve embarked on over the past 12 years. Building Zenkai Online has been a labor of love that has demanded not only extensive time and financial investment but also unwavering passion and dedication.
Our journey began with a vision, and through countless hours of artistic creation and intricate coding, we have transformed that vision into a thriving platform. The road has been long, and while we have made tremendous strides, our work is far from complete. We are committed to continuing to evolve and enhance Zenkai Online, driven by our love for what we do and our desire to provide an exceptional experience for our community.
